Transfer of property records
The transfer of offices and books of the Barcelona Property Registries was carried out between 6 and 29 August 2018. A total of 27 Property Registries were transferred by our company from Joan Miró Street, 19-21 in Barcelona to the new building located on Paseo Zona Franca.
Reasons for the transfer of the Barcelona Land Registries
The new facilities have 6,400 square meters distributed between offices and a private archive for each of the Registries. The move follows the trend of large companies such as the AGBAR Group (Aguas de Barcelona) and the Tax Agency of Catalonia that had already moved to the area previously. This consolidates a process of revitalization in the surroundings of the Paseo de la Zona Franca that has been promoted for years.
Organizational challenge
The operation was a major organisational challenge, as in just 3 weeks the total of the 27 Property Registries were successfully relocated: a total of 2,200 cubic metres of furniture and more than 36,000 books from the archive.
Put in other figures, it would be the equivalent of more than 70 moving trucks with office furniture and utensils and around 2.4 kilometers of files placed in a straight line.
Special attention should be paid to the transfer of the books, which has been carried out to ensure their custody during transport and which has included the relocation of archives maintaining their same classification as at origin. At the same time, some of the racks were modified and adapted to improve their organization and maximize storage capacity. The experience and training of our staff in this type of transfer have been the best guarantee of success for an extremely demanding project.
This project represents another success for Mudanzas Control to add to those already achieved by the company during its history, and reaffirms its commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
