Packaging and transfer of pieces from the Josep Cañas Museum for the exhibition “ESSENCIALS (…) Mirades” by Sus Párraga
At CONTROL we continue to do our bit for the art world, and we have recently had the honour of participating in a cultural project of great value to us. It is the transfer of collection pieces from the Josep Cañas Museum (www.josepcanas.cat) to the Portal del Pardo Room, in El Vendrell (https://museus.elvendrell.net/es/sala-portal-del-pardo-espacio-de-difusion-cultural/). This small transfer has made it possible to borrow sculptures and paintings to complete the exhibition “ESSENCIALS (…) Mirades”, by the artist Sus Párraga. Thanks to the incorporation of the works of this renowned Catalan artist, the exhibition of the artist from Vendorden has gained the depth and impact it deserved. We are particularly excited to have helped to make this project a reality, which they have created with great effort and managed from the Portal del Pardo Room.
A transfer that requires maximum precision
The collaboration between the two exhibition spaces has allowed some of the pieces from the Josep Cañas Museum to travel temporarily to El Vendrell to enrich this exhibition, and CONTROL has ensured that this transfer was carried out in compliance with the highest standards of conservation and transport safety. 
Our team carried out the specialized packaging of the pieces, using soft protection materials and custom-made boxes, adapted to the dimensions and characteristics of each object. This type of packaging is essential to preserve the integrity of fragile and valuable works during handling and transport. Finally, each piece was identified and ready for transport.
Transport with an adapted vehicle
Due to access limitations at the pick-up and drop-off points, the transport was carried out in a van specially equipped with air suspension and temperature control, thus ensuring optimal stability and controlled environmental conditions throughout the journey. This type of vehicle is ideal for transfers in urban environments or with limited access, without compromising the safety of the transported parts at any time. It is essential to prevent transport conditions from deteriorating the works. Only in this way can we ensure that once the exhibition is finished, they return unaltered and in perfect condition.
